The time zone input for SunAngle requires you to determine what the time difference is between your location and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This page lists several ways of figuring this out. If anyone is aware of a time zone that is not listed in the SunAngle time zone input field, please send me mail.

Please note that the time zone input assumes that you're not including daylight savings time when you indicate your time difference from GMT. For example: the author lives in Seattle, Washington, USA, where the time difference from GMT is -8 hours. When daylight savings time is in effect, however, the time difference is actually GMT -7 hours. But for the purposes of the SunAngle inputs it would be correct to indicate the time zone as GMT-8 and set the Daylight savings input to "Yes" during the summer. If that's not clear, please let me know!

  The letters on this chart correspond to the letters in the SunAngle input.

• There is detailed time zone information listed by country and city at the "Local Times Around the World" site:

  The "Local Time Zone" entry on the country pages has a value in the form "GMT-0300", which indicates GMT minus three hours (equivalent to "GMT - 3" in the SunAngle input).
